Head Over Heels

This piece pays homage to Andy Warhol, who before his pop-art career, made a living creating fanciful fashion illustrations. Warhol's deliberate attention to detail, and lack thereof, creates a scene that is both vacant and enchanting. However, these disembodied female parts speak to marketing trends at large often treating women as fragmented pieces and headless bodies, rather than human beings. This series aims to revisit Warhol's work to include the presence of a female body, reclaiming the segmented parts as my own.
